University continued its tradition
of featuring outstanding speakers,
making the Town of Davie the place
to be heard.
Donations Accepted At Davie Fire
Stations To Help The Citizens of Haiti
1/20/10- All Davie fire
stations are collecting donations for
Haiti. The Davie Firefighter Benevolent
Association, working with the Town of
Davie, are open for walk-in donations
from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.
According to the Town of
Davie, in a press release released
today, the following items can be
donated: Water, nonperishable foods,
rice, canned goods with pull tops or
manual can openers, first aid supplies,
tents, flashlights, batteries and
diapers. Clothing should not be donated,
according to the Town, except through
the Red Cross. Checks will be accepted
at the fire stations, and can be made
payable to the Davie Firefighter
Benevolent Association, which is a 501
nonprofit organization. The memo portion
of your check should reference the Haiti
relief effort.

reported this evening that doctors
attending to patients in Haiti are in
serious need of surgical gloves.
The nearest Fire Rescue
location is at SR 84 and Nob Hill Road
(1230 South Nob Hill Road).
